This is a short speech/paper from Dewey, within which he targets a few concepts – specifically he investigates the issue of actual change in education (it may be impossible without a full destruction of what already is) and the various characteristics of what it takes to be an Educator. I encourage you to read this, and see if you can identify characteristics that help us further explain what Good Teaching is.I also encourage you to read this and think about your own experiences – how much of them are informed by your previous experience with education, how much is different, and when you experiment and try something new. . . are you really? How do we ever make TRUE progress in educational reform? Thanks!
