In this section, there are several artists that I want you to review.First, I am going to send you to New York to the Metropolitan Museum and then have you come back to California to a very wonderful site full of art work.
Please proceed as follows:
Answer ALL the questions below by taking notes or printing out the imagery so that you can write a paper containing all the answers.
Compose your paper and then post it to the assignment icon. This paper is worth 35 points and should be approximately one full page of 12 point single-spaced text. Incorporate your answers in the body of the paper.

Go to the search icon and Find Georgia O’Keefe.
Find one of her works that you feel is symmetrical in balance.
Then search for Stuart Davis. Find one of his works that is asymmetrical in balance.
Name each work for these artists that you have chosen.
Tell WHY the works are symmetrical and asymmetrical in balance.
Explain similarities in color and shape, if there are any.
Give your opinion of what each artist was attempting to accomplish with the individual works you have chosen write about. Please DO go into detail and do the best you can with your limited experience. It is fine to make a guess. The more you write, the better. You may do some other Google research to inform yourself about the artists.

Give the name of each artist and name of one particular work by each of them that you found appealing.
Give your personal reasons as to your reaction to the art in general for EACH of the artists.
For each artist, which formal element (line, color, shape etc) was the strongest in their work.
What do you think each of the artists was trying to say?
