There are four sections in Chapter 9 (identified by the chapter heading as well as the ALL CAPITAL LETTER sub-headings). Section 1: Reluctant Enterprise Section 2: CAPITALISTS WITHOUT CAPITAL Section 3: THE BUSINESS OF THE POOR Section 4: GOOD JOBS You will submit a summary of the reading assignment for each section of the chapter. Please label them as Section 1, Section 2, etc. A complete summary for each issue will have four clearly marked sub-sections: Major Issue, Causes, Consequences, and Cures. The “Issue” specifies the main problem raised in a particular section of the chapter; “Causes” identifies the key reasons that contribute to the issue; “Consequences” explains the impacts of the “issue”; “Cures” offers some of the solutions that can address the problem. You are required to repeat this exercise for each section of the chapter. You can see a sample outline in the Chapter Summary Description. Notes: Please see the grading rubric under the “Assessments” tab on Western Online so that you know how I will be grading your summaries. Here are some formatting guidelines: Put a cover page with a proper title, your information, course information, date, etc. Include appropriate in-text citations and a separate bibliography page for any source that you find appropriate to support your arguments for the causes, consequences, and cures related to the issue you discuss. Note: I am asking you to find one MAJOR issue for each section. This is your opportunity to demonstrate a high level of understanding of the issue presented in that section by identifying it. Follow professional formatting: Length – minimum two pages (excluding cover page, bibliography, and appendix), 1-inch margins, double-spaced, standard font style (Times New Roman), font size 12.
